I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Hypothyroidism about 9 years ago. It came at a time when my husband were trying really hard to get pregnant. My OB ordered a blood panel and discovered my diagnosis. Once I began treatment and working regularly with my Endocrinologist and OB my husband and I were able to get pregnant with our daughter. We’ve since had three very healthy children and experienced one miscarriage (blighted ovum, so no heartbeat ever formed) between babies one and two. My symptoms, which are sheer exhaustion, weight gain, brain fog and forgetfulness, are still a daily struggle, but I haven’t given up! I’m a half-marathon running, Bike MS cyclist, triathlete who has a serious goal of becoming an Ironman finisher. Regardless of my diagnosis, this disease will not define me, nor will it hold me back. I enjoy this page because of the real, unfiltered information that is presented and shared and with your responses in our groups. There is so much to learn about hashimoto’s hypothyroidism and you share so much information! I know that I can either find answers on your page or ask you a question and you’ll help point me in the right direction. I appreciate what you do!
