I am taking a break today from research and reading to enjoy a snow day. Thought I would share a bit about my restful time in nature. I spent some quiet time with my Lord and savior in his creation.
With Hashimoto’s rest time is as crucial as what whole foods I’m eating, or what toxins I’m exposed to, or who I spend my time with, and how I handle high stress situations. My adrenals need a chance to rest and my body needs a chance to heal, when I take the time to slow down and enjoy something I love it gets that opportunity.
Here are pictures form my walk today, a walk just a week ago when it was 73 degrees (crazy right?!) and also a walk I went on with my parents and kids on a sunny day after our previous snow. It’s been a very snowy winter for central Virginia!
I pray these images and scriptures encourage you.
Genesis 1:31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.
Psalms 23:2-3 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
Exodus 33:14 My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
