I have been working on a balance of wellness through nutrition and lifestyle and minerals, and the most important factor… a relationship with the Lord. When we follow his word we see that he had a certain way of eating in mind for his children all along. He made us so he knows better then anyone what we need to ‘run’ well. But just doing those things is not enough….
We need to keep Him close. Spend time in his word. He will guide our hearts and give our worn out emotions and tired adrenals the rest that alludes all man ordained techniques. Only He can give us true rest and health.
Exodus 33:14 “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
He loves us, and wants us to be of sound mind. Not of a fatigued mind, or a fogged mind, or an anxious mind! He wants us complete so we can take the enemy head on and be victorious!
Don’t feel victorious? Take back the victory! God has already won the victory. We, as his children, need only claim it and stand in faith believing it is ours! His work on the cross is finished! He clearly outlines in his word that we are to lean on him, his burden is light.
Matthew 11:30 “For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
We are so busy being busy that we only have time to eat food that is ready fast. It’s toxic and devoid of nutrients and minerals, and yet full of artificial everything and bad fats and so on. This was never God’s plan for our bodies, our living temples of the Lord.
1 Corinthians 6:19 “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?”
Matthew 6:33 “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and then all these things will be added unto you”
He knows what you need, but the most important thing is relationship with HIM! Everything else he can give you.
Your body struggles and fails at health because we fail to slow down and spend stress relieving time with Him. We need to spend time daily in his word. In doing so we will begin to hear the gentlemanly Holy Spirit prick our hearts when we need to be a rest, when we need time with Him.
Listen and be obedient. He wants only good things for us! Start today. I began as a new years resolution many years ago by reading one chapter of Proverbs a day. They will last you all month. Then start over or move on to another book. Make it part of your morning or bedtime routine, and see God work in your life in ways that will knock you off your feet!
He is faithful!
