How large is your debris field?

I can happily say I am not longer on a plethora of medications, with one exception~ my synthroid for my hypothyroidism! Wahoo! I will eventually get into all the meds I was on and why, but for now this victory is worth a blog unto itself. The last medication I stopped needing was a medication I had been on over a decade…

…and was told I’d be on for life, yet here I am 7 weeks ‘clean’ of it and going strong. Is there a debris field wrapped around my ankles of side effects, self doubt on my decision, and a bit of fear? Yup. Is that going to slow me down? Nope!

Philippians 4:13
I can do everything through him who gives me strength

As I work toward wellness I do sometimes falter. What if I really do need such-and-such medication to be ‘normal’? What if I can’t heal and the side effects/withdrawal doesn’t go away? What if? What if? Well I go back to what started my journey… the Word of God. He covers everything from rest and relaxation, to how we should address food, to who should be our strength, as well as the one responsible for our fears and discouragement. As I change my diet and address the foods that send my system into melt down mode I also address stress and finding peace. There are so many ‘self help’ books out there on relaxation and many are humans taking credit for God’s plan of action. God does not share his spotlight; ever. We can’t do this ourselves.
The good news? WE DON”T HAVE TO!

Proverbs 3:7-8
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.

Isaiah 40:31
…but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on the wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint

Isn’t that awesome! Soaring is above it all. It doesn’t say limp, it says RUN! He will renew our strength so we don’t have to stay foggy headed and out of it anymore! Wahooo!

This is the beginning of my healing process (Yup, It can be a process!) and I wanted to share it with you. God never intended for his children to sing his praises and share of his glory while ill and unable to function. Not a very good platform or witness to show his great love and desire to heal. I love the illustration in the verse below. Picture a people starved and beaten for hundreds of years. The Moses comes following the leading of the Lord and the prisoners are freed. Did they leave naked, beaten, and impoverished? Absolutely not! God healed the weakest, not one was feeble, and they were laden in riches to begin their new lives in the Lord’s perfect grace

Psalms 105:37
And he brought them forth with silver and gold; And there was not one feeble person among his tribes.

As I walk away from medications, fast foods, artificial foods, over exertions and stress I walk away victoriously laden with treasures and healed! My symptoms may take time to fade, but that is the nature of faith. Claiming the unseen as the seen. Another amazing note, these riches they carried out were not ‘hypothetical’ riches like loving-kindness and grace. They were gold and silver! He wants us to be healthy and to borrow from no one but to be the lender! Isn’t that exciting!? But alas, that’s a whole another post entirely.

I will pause here. Thank you for joining me in this adventure where I get to gloat on how great my God is and how you too can live healthy and energized every single day!!
